Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a QA Automation & Manual Engineer to join a growing technology company operating in the immigration and workforce services space.
The company develops proprietary platforms that help businesses manage complex workforce, immigration, and visa-related processes. As the product continues to scale, ensuring quality, reliability, and a seamless user experience is essential.
In this role, you will be responsible for both automated and manual testing activities across web applications and APIs. You will help define test strategies, execute comprehensive testing efforts, contribute to automation initiatives, and support the transition from Cypress-based automation toward Playwright-based frameworks.
You will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure high product quality while supporting modern AI-assisted QA workflows that improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and user acceptance testing
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and Cypress
- Contribute to the migration and enhancement of existing automation frameworks
- Perform API testing and validation using tools such as Postman or similar solutions
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
- Validate application behavior across multiple browsers and environments
- Execute database validations and data integrity checks
- Participate in CI/CD processes and support automated testing pipelines
- Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on quality risks and release readiness
- Recommend improvements to testing processes, automation coverage, and quality practices
- Utilize AI-assisted QA tools and workflows to improve productivity, test generation, defect analysis, and overall testing effectiveness
Required Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Experience combining manual and automation testing
- Hands-on experience with Cypress for test automation
- Experience with or strong interest in Playwright
- Experience testing modern web applications
- Experience with API testing methodologies and tools
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools
- Strong SQL knowledge for data validation and database testing
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and quality practices within modern development workflows
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with Playwright in production environments
- Experience with performance or load testing tools
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern SaaS products
- Experience with AI-assisted QA tools and workflows
- Experience using Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar AI solutions to improve testing efficiency, test creation, defect investigation, and automation development
- Basic understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript
- Experience testing workflow-driven or business process management platforms

Required Education & Qualifications
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certifications are considered a plus
- Automation-related training or certifications are considered a plus
