Purpose of the Role
As a Data Scraping Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation of highly web scraping techniques, data extraction and data manipulation. You will play a crucial role in collecting and transforming data from various online sources to support our data-driven decision-making processes. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to enhance data delivery and drive continuous product improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct web-based data scraping to gather images and videos as per project requirements
- Utilize scraping tools and techniques to extract relevant multimedia content from specific sources
- Perform thorough quality checks on the scraped images and videos to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify and address any inconsistencies, errors, or missing data in the scraped content
- Document and report any issues encountered during the QA process
- Assess the quality and relevance of sourced multimedia content according to predefined criteria
- Categorize and tag the content based on its characteristics or attributes
- Provide regular updates on the quality of the collected multimedia content to relevant stakeholders
Required Experience & Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience supporting client-facing data products
- Excellent grasp of technical aspects, including data extraction, data transformation, and data cleanup
- Proficient in Excel, including writing macros and Photoshop
- Demonstrated track record of delivering value through data products to enterprise and retail businesses
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively report to internal teams
- Experience collaborating across teams to solve cross-functional issues

Required Education & Qualifications
– Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a must
