Purpose of the Role
We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed engineering team building a modern HR, Workforce Management & Fintech SaaS platform used in the U.S. market. In this role, you’ll support both delivery and team growth, while helping engineers build scalable, high-quality products across web, API, and mobile environments.
This is a hands-on leadership role with your time being spent on technical work — architecture, code reviews, and occasional coding — and on leading people and delivery.
In this role, you will champion the adoption of AI-assisted software engineering practices, leveraging modern generative AI tools to improve development workflows, engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery speed across the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the team

- Run performance reviews and address performance issues constructively and early
- Plan team capacity and balance delivery commitments against sustainable workload
- Support the team in establishing best practices around responsible and effective use of AI in engineering processes
Own delivery
- Ensure your team ships high-quality software on time, working closely with Product Management, Design, DevOps, and clients in an Agile environment across the full SDLC
- Define and uphold engineering standards through code reviews, technical documentation, and test practices
- Identify and remove blockers, and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
Stay technical
- Define system architecture and ensure its robust implementation
- Stay hands-on with the codebase enough to give credible technical guidance and review meaningful changes
- Champion effective and responsible use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to improve workflows, testing, documentation, and productivity across the team
