Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a Senior React Native Developer to join our agile software development team. As a senior member, you will leverage your expertise in React Native development to architect and implement cross-platform mobile solutions that serve both iOS and Android users.
You will be contributing to a modern, scalable platform developed for a US-based, tech-enabled company operating in the workforce solutions and immigration services space. The platform supports complex user journeys such as candidate onboarding, job matching, and multi-step application workflows, requiring a strong focus on performance, usability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering discussions with focus on mobile user experience
- Design React Native application architecture and provide technical estimates for cross-platform development
- Develop and maintain high-quality React Native applications for iOS and Android platforms
- Implement React Native components and navigation systems
- Integrate React Native apps with RESTful APIs and backend services
- Optimize React Native performance for both platforms
- Bridge native iOS/Android functionality when React Native limitations are encountered
- Implement robust security measures for mobile data protection
- Collaborate closely with product management, TechOps, QA teams, and clients using Agile methodology
- Contribute to building scalable mobile solutions that support complex workflows and data-driven features
Required Experience & Technical Skills
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on React Native development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in React Native framework, including:
- React Native CLI and Expo workflows
- State management (Redux, Context API, or similar)
- React Native navigation libraries
- Platform-specific code implementation
- Third-party library integration
- Performance optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js fundamentals
- Experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Java/Kotlin) development is a plus
- Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes (App Store, Google Play)
- Mac system with iOS development environment is mandatory
