Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a Senior React Native Developer to join a distributed engineering team building a modern HR, Workforce Management & Fintech SaaS platform used by businesses across the U.S.
Our platform helps organizations manage their workforce through a suite of web and mobile applications that support employee scheduling, time tracking, payroll-related workflows, communication, and other mission-critical business operations.
As a Senior React Native Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications that deliver a seamless user experience across iOS and Android. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and DevOps in an Agile environment, contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle.
We are also embracing AI-assisted software engineering as part of our engineering culture. You’ll be encouraged to leverage modern AI development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and similar technologies to improve productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and overall development efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build high-quality mobile applications
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable React Native applications for both iOS and Android.
- Build reusable, well-structured, and maintainable components following modern mobile development best practices.
- Deliver responsive, performant, and intuitive user experiences across a wide variety of devices.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs into polished mobile experiences.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Collaborate across the product lifecycle
- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams throughout the full SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to technical discussions, architecture decisions, and feature planning.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure high product quality through comprehensive testing and continuous improvement.
Drive engineering excellence
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following established engineering standards.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Continuously improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Champion responsible adoption of AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering workflows and delivery quality.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on React Native development experience building production mobile applications.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of React Native architecture, component lifecycle, hooks, navigation, and state management.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and working with backend services.
- Experience publishing and maintaining applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Experience working in Agile software development environments.
- Experience collaborating within distributed, remote engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools in day-to-day development.
- Strong understanding of Git and collaborative development workflows.
Advantage
- Experience with native mobile development (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, or Java).
- Experience working with Java and Spring Boot backend services.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, React Native Testing Library, or Detox.
- Experience with workforce management, HR SaaS, scheduling, payroll, fintech, or other enterprise SaaS platforms.
- Experience optimizing mobile application performance and troubleshooting production issues.
- Experience contributing to technical architecture and engineering best practices.

Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
