Senior AI Process & Automation Consultant – REF 70 – 13

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Process & Automation Consultant to join Xogito’s AI Automation Practice and help our customers identify and implement high-value business process automation opportunities.

You will work directly with customer teams across different industries and business functions to understand how processes actually operate, establish measurable performance baselines, and determine where AI and automation can create meaningful business value.

Working alongside Xogito Automation Engineers, you will own the business side of the engagement — from process discovery and opportunity assessment to defining success criteria, validating solutions, and measuring results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery sessions and map end-to-end business processes, including exceptions, dependencies, and manual workarounds.
• Establish measurable process baselines using operational data, system logs, and sampling, covering metrics such as volume, cycle time, errors, exceptions, and manual effort.
• Break down complex processes into potential automation opportunities and prioritize them based on value, feasibility, risk, and expected return.
• Identify processes or process steps that should not be automated and clearly explain why.
• Define expected outputs, business rules, edge cases, human-in-the-loop requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Build representative test sets to validate automation performance.
• Work closely with Automation Engineers throughout solution design, development, testing, and parallel running.
• Measure post-implementation results against the agreed baseline and identify opportunities for further improvement.
• Develop and present business cases, findings, and recommendations to process owners and senior customer stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of Xogito’s AI Automation Practice and reusable delivery approaches.

Required Experience & Knowledge

• Strong experience in business process analysis, process improvement, transformation, intelligent automation, process mining, or related consulting work.
• Demonstrated experience mapping and improving complex business processes in a client-facing environment.
• Strong measurement mindset, with experience using data, system logs, sampling, and operational metrics to understand process performance.
• Experience identifying and prioritizing process improvement or automation opportunities based on measurable business value.
• Ability to assess when automation is not appropriate or does not provide sufficient value.
• Experience defining business requirements, expected outcomes, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong business case development skills, including evaluating effort, cost, efficiency, quality, and expected return.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar business domains and operational environments.
• Strong client-facing experience and confidence working independently with senior stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams throughout implementation and validation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with process mining or intelligent automation platforms such as Celonis, UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar.
• Background in business transformation, shared services transformation, ERP consulting, operational excellence, internal audit, or controls.
• Hands-on experience using Generative AI or agentic AI tools in real business workflows.
• Experience designing AI-driven workflows involving multiple steps, tools, systems, or data sources.
• Understanding of human-in-the-loop approaches and the strengths and limitations of LLM-based automation.
• Experience personally automating repetitive parts of your own professional workflows.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
