Senior Inventory Planner – REF 204 – 05

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Inventory Planner you will play a key role within a brand new Inventory and Procurement team, located in our office in Sofia. You will be responsible for an optimal availability & inventory level based on agreed inventory plans, demand plan, agreed service levels and the supply.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and update Inventory information for each Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) within area of responsibility including: 

  • Quantities (available and reserved) in Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs)
  • Quantities at warehouses and Third-Party Logistics (3PLs)
  • Quantities in Transit (Air freight or Sea freight) and estimated arrival dates 
  • Quantities in Production and Estimated Ready to Ship dates 
  • Historical sales data adjusted for out of stock or suspension periods 
  • Forecast sales data including promotions, special sales events, holidays, etc. 

Analyze inventory data for each SKU within area of responsibility to provide:

  • Inventory replenishment plans and quantities to be re-ordered from suppliers or to be moved from 3PLs to Amazon FCs following company policies 
  • Recommendations for Sea shipments versus air shipments when applicable
  • Identify current and potential inventory shortages, develop and execute recovery, advise stakeholders of status and recovery plans

 

  • Prepare shipments planning and inventory management dashboard
  • Prepare and analyze out of stock, excess inventory and storage fees reports 
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders to receive and communicate inventory related information 
  • Effectively use and update the ERP system (NetSuite), forecasting tools and Excel inventory trackers 
  • Provide supervision, guidance and training for Inventory Planners 

Required Experience & Knowledge

  • E-Commerce logistics & delivery processes knowledge
  • 8-12 years professional experience in manufacturing & Inventory planning, inventory control or materials planning role
  • APICS certification
  • General databases know-how
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP…etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office pack, especially  Excel
  • Experience managing diverse channels of communication Sales, Logistics, Buyers
  • Experience identifying risks in case of delays

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is a must 
  • BS Degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, etc.)
  • Any relevant certificated would be considered a plus
