Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and API Test Automation to join our engineering team building a large-scale Healthcare eCommerce SaaS platform.
In this role, you’ll help ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of business-critical applications by designing and maintaining modern automation frameworks and integrating automated testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
You’ll collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams to improve software quality, expand automation coverage, and continuously optimize testing processes within Agile development environments.
As part of our engineering culture, you’ll also leverage modern AI-assisted software engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and similar technologies to accelerate test automation, improve debugging, generate test cases, and enhance engineering productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain automation frameworks
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Create automated UI, regression, smoke, integration, API, and end-to-end test suites.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, execution speed, and test reliability across complex web applications.
- Develop reusable automation utilities and testing libraries.
Ensure software quality
- Analyze business and technical requirements to define effective automation strategies.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, cross-browser, and cross-platform testing.
- Develop and maintain automated API tests.
- Perform database validations as part of automated test execution.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and verify software defects through resolution.
Collaborate across engineering teams
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, QA Engineers, and DevOps throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute automation estimates, test planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support continuous delivery by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps to maintain reliable test environments.
Drive engineering excellence
- Promote automation best practices across the team.
- Contribute to improving QA processes and automation standards.
- Mentor teammates and share technical knowledge when appropriate.
- Leverage AI-assisted development and testing tools to improve productivity, test generation, documentation, and debugging.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Essential
- 3+ years of professional experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Experience with API Test Automation.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience using Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with performance or load testing.
- Experience testing cloud-based applications.
- Mobile automation testing experience (iOS/Android).
- ISTQB certification or equivalent.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot.

Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
