Senior QA Engineer (Manual & Automation) – REF 42 – 48

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Xogito engineering team and contribute to international software projects.

This is a hands-on role combining manual testing and test automation, with a focus on ensuring software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across both areas: exploring and validating functionality manually when needed, while also building and maintaining reliable automated tests using Playwright and JavaScript or Python.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing of web applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright.
• Create clear and effective test scenarios and test cases based on product requirements.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers through resolution.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Help determine which test scenarios should be automated and which are better suited for manual validation.
• Investigate failures, analyze test results, and support root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve overall software quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in QA processes and testing practices.

Required Experience & Knowledge

• Strong professional experience in software quality assurance, covering both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for test automation.
• Good programming or scripting experience with JavaScript or Python.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design, and defect management.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Experience testing web applications and APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify edge cases, and translate them into effective test coverage.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
