Purpose of the Role

As a support specialist you will provide remote assistance for the on premises infrastructure of our clients, as well as internal support. You will be responsible for user training as well as design, installation, maintenance and support service. The support specialist will ensure high quality implementation and support of all workstation hardware, printers, and peripheral devices, throughout the user base and solve computer issues.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper maintenance and future planning needs for the company’s desktop environment
  • Monitor the performance of desktop infrastructure and make adjustments to improve efficiency
  • Deliver support for reported problems with desktop computers, laptops, peripherals and mobile devices
  • Work with vendors to diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve computer issues
  • Maintain and create a document management system to protect and restore the data
  • Administer and control user access including company accounts, shared mailboxes, cloud storage etc
  • Evaluate new product versions and recommend upgrade schedules

Required Experience & Knowledge


  • Thorough knowledge of different Windows OS versions, PC hardware, Windows-based software and server configurations
  • Experience managing and utilizing Windows related tools such as Office 365, Active Directory
  • Practical knowledge with ticket based support systems 
  • Knowledge of cloud storage systems such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive
  • Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues


  • Windows Server Management experience
  • Experience with cloud based solutions – basic Azure knowledge
  • Network protocol stacks knowledge
  • Programming experience 

Skills and Attributes

  • Good communication skills and documentation skills
  • Comfortable to provide remote support, AV support, updates, etc..
  • Excellent customer support approach, with friendly attitude
  • Prioritization and multitasking abilities

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology
  • MCDST or any other relevant certifications are a plus
