Purpose of the Role
Our client operates in the financial technology / B2B SaaS space and is building an AI product designed to help startups and scale-ups deeply understand their financial health. The product focuses on core finance metrics such as burn, runway, cash flow, and accounting accuracy, in a data-heavy, trust-critical environment.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us and lead product work for this project. This role requires a financially literate, data-first PM who is comfortable operating under pressure, working closely with a very hands-on, detail-oriented client, and translating complex financial concepts into precise, high-quality product requirements. You will play a key role in shaping a product where correctness, clarity, and trust are non-negotiable.
Duties and Responsibilities
Define and drive the product roadmap for a CFO-in-a-box platform, balancing client expectations, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Translate complex financial concepts (burn, runway, cash flow, accounting logic) into clear, structured product requirements, functional specs, and user stories.
Work closely with engineering, design, and data teams to deliver robust, scalable, and accurate B2B financial features.
Engage directly with a highly demanding, hands-on client stakeholder, gathering requirements, challenging assumptions when needed, and protecting product scope under pressure.
Ensure product decisions are data-driven, with strong attention to accuracy, edge cases, and consistency across the platform.
Collaborate on UX and product design discussions, pushing for solutions that are not just “good”, but high-quality and well thought through, in line with a premium financial product.
Manage the full product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through delivery, validation, and iteration.
Communicate product progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly to internal teams and senior stakeholders.
Continuously assess product performance and usability, identifying improvements that increase trust, clarity, and value for users.
Required Experience & Knowledge
Strong experience as a Product Manager working on B2B SaaS products, ideally in data-heavy or analytics-driven environments.
Solid, practical understanding of core finance concepts such as burn rate, runway, cash flow, and basic accounting principles.
Experience working in startups or similar fast-paced environments where financial metrics are used and discussed daily.
Proven ability to work directly with demanding clients or stakeholders, confidently managing expectations and pushing back when necessary.
Demonstrated experience translating complex business or financial logic into precise, actionable product requirements.
Experience working closely with engineering teams on technically complex products.
Strong analytical mindset, with a focus on data correctness, edge cases, and long-term product integrity.
Skills and Attributes
Financially literate and comfortable discussing numbers, metrics, and financial logic with confidence.
Data-first mindset, with strong attention to detail and a high bar for correctness and quality.
Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Confident, calm, and assertive when working with strong personalities and high-pressure stakeholders.
Highly organized, with strong prioritization and time management skills.
Comfortable working remotely within distributed, multicultural teams.
Problem-solver by nature, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound product decisions.
Familiarity with Agile ways of working and tools such as Jira and Confluence is a plus.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Product Management, Business Analysis, or Agile-related certifications are a plus, but not mandatory.
