Product Manager – Financial Services – REF – 21 – 28

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with a strong financial services background to support the development and evolution of our digital financial products and software solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with design, engineering, and business teams to help shape product vision, define requirements, and drive the delivery of user-centered financial product experiences — including Debit Card, Credit Card, Direct Pay to Pay, Loan products, and more.This role requires someone who can translate complex financial services business needs into clear product requirements, while ensuring that product decisions align with user needs, regulatory considerations, and overall business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle for financial products, from discovery and planning to delivery and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with designers and engineers to define product features, workflows, and user journeys across financial services use cases.
• Contribute to the UI/UX direction of digital financial products, ensuring intuitive and compliant user experiences.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including product requirements, functional specifications, and user stories in Confluence and Jira.
• Work directly with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into clear product strategies and priorities.
• Manage product backlogs and coordinate with engineering teams within a true agile development framework to support timely delivery of features.
• Use Figma and other collaboration tools to review and refine product designs with design teams.
• Analyze user feedback and product performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Leverage AI tools, including Claude AI, to accelerate research, analysis, and product thinking.
• Ensure alignment between product vision, user experience, and business goals throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Experience & Knowledge

• 5–7 years of proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner working on software or digital financial products.
• Prior experience at a major financial institution strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with financial products such as Debit Card, Credit Card, lending, payments, or similar.
• Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices and product design principles.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with design teams using tools such as Figma.
• Experience translating business and compliance requirements into product requirements, user stories, and clear development tasks.
• Proven experience managing product backlogs and working within true agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is required.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude AI to support and advance product thinking.

Location & Language Requirements

• Must be based in the United States, preferably in the New York Tri-State area or East Coast.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence is required; Figma experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working on digital consumer financial products or SaaS platforms in a regulated industry is a strong advantage.
